Two late goals in Friday's friendly at Holker Street
Bolton Wanderers XI continued their unbeaten start to pre-season, drawing their fourth friendly of the schedule 1-1 at Holker Street on Friday evening.
A fairly uneventful match came to life in the last six minutes as Bolton took a late lead when a Sanmi Odelusi cross was turned into his own goal by Barrow defender Mike Pearson.
But the hosts salvaged a draw just four minutes before the final whistle when trialist winger Danny Rowe lashed the ball into the bottom corner from 16 yards out following a half-cleared corner.
The opening 84 minutes had generally been devoid of any real opportunities.
Jay Lynch made a fine save on his goal-line early on from a corner, while Jack Sampson fired wide from the edge of the area having latched onto a through ball from midfield just before half-time
John Henry’s side now have three pre-season fixtures remaining; against Daisy Hill, FC Halifax Town and Accrington Stanley.
