Manager Dougie Freedman was pleased with Wanderers’ all round play against Reading on Saturday afternoon.
The Whites led through Darren Pratley’s second goal of the season early in the first half, but were pegged back in the second period courtesy of Nick Blackman’s penalty.
In a tightly fought contest at the Reebok Stadium, with Medo Kamara hitting the post with a stunning long range effort late in the first half, boss Freedman believes there is more to come from his side in the coming weeks.
“It was a good entertaining match,” said Freedman. “We played very well in the opening 45 minutes and we showed fantastic creativity going forward.
“If Medo’s chance went in instead of hitting the post then it would have been 2-0 and you would have fancied our chances of winning the game
“But credit to Reading, they are a good side and they did well to come back. They came at us in the second half and they got what they deserved to be honest so I am happy with the point.
“It was close in the first half but the game did slip away from us a bit. Looking back I will be happy with a point from the game because I think Reading will be in the top six at the end of the season.
“There is more to come from us and if we scored that second goal we would have been more comfortable.
“We played against a team which was well structured and organised, Reading gave us a few problems but overall it was a deserved point for both managers.”
