Defender Zat Knight is adamant the team will come back stronger next season.
Knight, who was the club’s highest appearance maker in the 2012/13 season, revealed the Whites aim to replicate their excellent form towards the end of the season heading into the new campaign.
“I would like to thank the fans, they have been great,” said the 33-year-old. “They came out in force on Saturday, and we have shown that we can stay together as a club.
“Last season has gone now, we enjoyed a good three months towards the end of the season, but we don’t want to look back, only forward.
“If we can re-enact those last three months with the manager, get a good pre-season under our belts then I believe we can reach our goal next season.”
