Marvin Sordell and Keith Andrews in the thick of the Championship action in our latest loan watch
Marvin Sordell was once again on target for Charlton, though his solitary strike couldn’t prevent the Addicks from slipping to a 3-1 home defeat at Blackburn.
Sordell, who last weekend had netted a hat-trick, missed from the spot early on against Rovers but did pull a goal back in the second half.
Charlton’s Championship fate still rests in their own hands. They have a game in hand and sit two points above the drop zone.
Up the other end of the table, Keith Andrews and Brighton still harbour hopes of a play-off place.
The on-loan Republic of Ireland international played the full 90 minutes of Friday night’s 2-0 home victory over Yeovil Town.
However Brighton now need other results to go their way on the final day if they are to sneak into a play-off berth.
In League One Tom Eaves played the second half for Shrewsbury in their 4-2 home defeat against Peterborough which officially consigned them to the drop.
Craig Davies played the final 25 minutes for play-off bound Preston in their 3-1 home victory over Gillingham.
Elsewhere Josh Vela was an unused substitute for Notts County in their win over Swindon Town whilst Sanmi Odelusi wasn’t involved for MK Dons in their 2-2 draw at Rotherham.
