A look ahead to the youngsters' cup clash on the south-coast on Tuesday evening
Wanderers’ Under-18 side travel to south-coast on Tuesday evening to face their Portsmouth counterparts in the third round of the FA Youth Cup.
Set to be contested at Fratton Park with a 7pm kick-off, the Whites’ youngsters will be aiming to book their place in the next round of the competition come the final whistle against Pompey.
The FA Youth Cup has certainly been a memorable tournament for David Lee’s side in recent years, with their impressive 8-4 victory over Tottenham Hotspur back in February 2013 ensuring their progression into the quarter finals of the competition, only to be defeated by Nottingham Forest.
Last season, Lee’s side pushed their Sheffield United counterparts all the way at Macron Stadium, with William Abbotts’ last minute long range effort forcing the tie into extra-time, but Wanderers eventually bowed out on spot-kicks.
Tickets for the game are priced £4 for adults and £2 for those aged over 60, young persons (17-22) and juniors (under 17).
Alternatively, updates of the game will be available via the club’s Twitter account @OfficialBWFC with a full match report following the final whistle on bwfc.co.uk.
