Our Korean winger sends tribute message to retiring friend's media conference
Chung-Yong Lee showed his support and gratitude to close friend and former international team-mate Ji-Sung Park on Wednesday.
A collection of memorabilia and gifts of well wishes lined the stage, as former Manchester United midfielder Park announced his retirement to a packed press conference near Seoul.
Included in the items was a flower basket from our very own Korean winger Lee.
‘From Bolton Wanderers' Chung-Yong Lee. Thank you for all the hard work’, read the attached message.
Park, who was most recently on loan at Dutch club PSV from QPR, won 100 caps for the Korean national side and featured in three FIFA World Cups.
Lee is set to feature for Korea Republic in his second FIFA World Cup this summer and could captain the side, after being named in their squad last week.
