Defender says side are not far away from stringing together positive run of results
Matt Mills believes it is only a matter of time before Wanderers’ fortunes change and the side pick up a number of results.
The Trotters head into the international break off the back of a 1-0 reverse against Leeds United, despite carving out a number of chances at Elland Road.
“We feel we deserved to take something from the game,” Mills said after the game. “We had a couple of chances in the first half and then three or four good opportunities in the last 20 minutes of the game.
“It was certainly a game we should have won - we had enough chances to do so.
“You can accept a goal if it’s a good bit of play, but when it’s a freak cross-shot which finds the post and goes in it is harsh, but I thought the reaction from us was good.
“I felt that we came out in the second half and completely dominated the game and we created enough chances to win three or four matches.
“We’re stuck in a rut at the minute, but all it takes is for one of those chances to perhaps come off someone’s head and go in the top corner and all of a sudden you’re winning games.
“Things can turn around quickly if one moment in a game goes your way and you’re heading into the next game with confidence.
“This is the time though where we need to stick together and work hard. We can use the international break to knuckle down in training and attack the next game.”
