Youngsters end their domestic exploits for the 2015/16 season with a third consecutive league win
Wanderers’ Under-18s ended their league campaign with a comfortable 3-0 victory over their Leeds counterparts at Lostock on Thursday afternoon.
Ryan White opened the scoring with a header from a Jordan Grant cross with 25 minutes on the clock, before Jack Everest made a good run from his right-back berth before crossing for Under-16 striker Luca Navarro to tap in from six yards.
Leeds attempted to force their way back into the clash, but their efforts were rebuffed by a determined Bolton side who eventually put the result beyond doubt in the second half.
White, the scorer of the Whites’ opener, turned provider for the Trotters’ third effort, linking up with Navarro who doubled his own tally with a great curling shot from 18 yards into the top corner.
Speaking following the game, head coach David Lee said, “It was an excellent performance throughout the team today and we created some good attacking phases of play with three very good finishes.
“Defensively, we were strong too with a pleasing clean sheet in what was ultimately a dominant performance.”
