Wanderers' Under-18s kicked off their 2017/18 league season with defeat away at Bristol City on Saturday.
Nicky Spooner's side started the game well, dominating possession and creating numerous chances inside the opening stages with some very good build-up play.
On the half hour mark meanwhile, Luca Connell hit a shot from distance which crashed against the bar and bounced down onto the goalline before falling back into play.
The Whites continued their pressure though throughout the first half, but were unable to capitalise in front of goal during the opening 45.
And the Robins proceeded to snatch the lead against the run if play in first-half stoppage time with a soft goal from a set-piece.
In the second period, Wanderers kept on pushing in a bid to force an equaliser, but were hit on the counter attack by the home side who doubled their tally and put the game beyond the Trotters, in turn inflicting defeat on Spooner's youngsters.
