Bolton Wanderers are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Jem Karacan on a one-year deal with an option for a further year.
The 28-year-old was on the books of the Whites during the final months of the 2016/17 Sky Bet League One campaign in two separate short-term spells, scoring one goal in five appearances.
And after impressing for Phil Parkinson’s side last term, Wanderers have moved to secure the former Turkish youth international’s signature ahead of the club’s 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson said: “We are really pleased to have got Jem on board. He’s a player with a point to prove especially as he had been away from the English scene for quite a while.
“During the time he was with us last season he proved himself and was a real asset to the team.
“He’s exactly the type of character we want and he has a great hunger and desire to do well.”
Jem Karacan added: "I am really delighted to be back in English football with Bolton Wanderers.
"I really enjoyed my spell at the club the season just gone especially as we won promotion back to the Championship.
"It's a great club to be at and I'm looking forward to continuing working with Phil Parkinson and the lads."
