Bolton Wanderers Football Club are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Peter Thompson, age 76.
The Carlisle-born winger epresented the Whites between December 1973 and April 1978, playing 126 matches in all competitions before retiring following the club's promotion to the First Division.
The wideman also played for Preston North End and made over 400 appearances for Liverpool alongside earning 16 England caps in a career spanning almost two decades.
