Jeremy Simpson will take charge of Wanderers Sky Bet Championship home Boxing Dayclash against Rotherham United on Wednesday at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Entering into his tenth season as a top flight referee, Simpson has officiated 20 games so far this year, in which he has produced 90 yellow cards and four red cards.
When looking towards last season, Simpson produced 167 yellow cards in 42 games, branding ten red cards in total.
The last time Simpson was in charge a Wanderers match was in October 2018, where he oversaw Wanderers narrow 2-0 defeat against Stoke City in the Sky Bet Championship.
In that fixture, Simpson booked three players in the form of Cuco Martina for the Potters, along with Jonathan Grounds and Craig Noone for the Whites.
Nick Hopton and Phillip Dermott will run the line for the fixture, with Oliver Langford as fourth official.
