Wanderers U18s suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Crewe Alexandra in the U18s Professional Development League on Saturday morning.
The game started evenly with both teams playing attacking football.
Both Ronan Darcy and Eddie Brown both went close to opening the scoring early on, but were inches from opening the scoring.
Fitzmartin was causing the crewe defence problems with his quick feet.
Moving into the second half and Darcy had two opportunities to score after great link up play with Brown, but the youngster couldn't break the deadlock.
On 70 minutes, Wanderers took the lead as Riley crossed the ball in for Sithole to score from close range.
However, Crewe responded as a quick equaliser and before Nicky Spooner's side knew it, Alexandra had their winner.
The away side were awarded a dubious penalty with the ball hitting Richards from a yard away and the visitors took all three points.
Wanderers XI: Hutchinson, Whalley, Dsouza, Riley, Osigwe, Richards, Fitzmartin, Graham, Brown, Darcy, Edmondson.
Substitutes: White, Smith, Senior, Sithole, Holmes.
