Wanderers' Under-18s secured a precious 4-1 win at home over Cardiff City on Saturday morning to maintain their lead at the top of the Professional Development League tab.
The visitors started brightly and opened the scoring to obtain an early advantage in the fourth minute.
However, the bitter taste of frustration did not last long for the young Whites as they responded well and were back on level terms almost immediatley, Luca Navarro crossing for Dennis Politic to fire into the back of the net in the seventh minute to level the scores.
Buoyed by their quick equaliser, Bolton started to take control of the game and create a number of chances.
The Trotters took the lead midway through the half as Navarro scored from the penalty spot after Politic was brought down in the box.
But Navarro missed the opportunity to net his second of the game on the half-hour mark as he danced through the Bluebirds defence and slammed a low shot goalwards, only to see it saved by the goalkeeper.
Cardiff retained possession after the break as they looked to fight back in the second half, but Wanderers quickly regained the upper-hand as the Whites extended their lead further.
Politic and Navarro combined once again with a clever one-two before passing to Luca Connell, who thundered an unstoppable shot into the corner from outside the box.
Bolton then wrapped up the scoring late on as Connor Comber crossed for Navarro to score his second of the game as Nicky Spooner's men clinched an emphatic 4-1 win.
