Bolton Wanderers U18s took all three points in their home clash against table toppers Leeds United, as they won 2-1 in their U18s Professional Development League clash
Wanderers started the game well, with link up play between Eddie Brown and Matthew Argent-Barnes causing the United defence a lot of difficulties.
It was on 25.minutes when the Whites took the lead, as Holmes latched onto a through ball and popped it past the onrushing goalkeeper.
Leeds were a constant threat throughout on set pieces, but goalkeeper Alexander was alert to any danger that was put on the Wanderers goal.
In the second half, Nicky Spooner's men furthered their lead, with Holmes slotting his second of the afternoon into the back of the net from a King-Harmes cross into the box.
Leeds were reduced to ten men soon after, which could have wrapped the game up for Bolton with Holmes and King-Harmes both going close.
United pulled a consolation back late on, but it wasn't enough as the Trotters took the spoils in this one.
Wanderers XI: Alexander, Broughton, White, Graham, Senior, Boon, Holmes, Preston, Brown, King-Harmes, Barnes.
