David Lee’s Under-23s will take on their Sheffield United counterparts on Monday afternoon in the Professional Development League at Stocksbridge Park Steels, KO 2pm.
Wanderers will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 loss at home to Crewe Alexandra last Monday as they arrive at Sheffield sitting fourth in the league, two places above their latest opponents.
The Whites currently lie eight points behind leaders Leeds United after 10 wins, two draws and seven losses this season, but could jump to up second place with a win, having a game in hand over Burnley and Birmingham U23s.
The young Blades meanwhile are coming off the back of two straight defeats, including a 3-0 thrashing away to Blackburn Rovers.
With 26 points on the board from a possible 57, Travis Binnion’s side will also be hungry to bounce back to winning ways when they welcome the Trotters.
A report of the match will be on bwfc.co.uk following the final result.
