Bolton Wanderers are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Remi Matthews has re-joined the club on a permanent deal.
Initially arriving at the University of Bolton Stadium on loan from fellow Championship side Norwich City, the goalkeeper returns to the club where he made his debut for the Trotters in the Carabao Cup against Leeds United back in August 2018.
Coming through the ranks at the Canaries, Matthews has experienced loan spells at Burton Albion, Doncaster Rovers, Hamilton Academical and most recently Plymouth Argyle.
When talking about the reacquiring of Matthews, manager Phil Parkinson said: ”We are very pleased that Remi has completed his move. He’s a young keeper who brings real quality for the number one shirt and it’s great to have him back up here.”
