It was a night of celebrating yesterday evening for the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust, as they picked up the award for Community Club of the Year at the North West Football Awards.
The event took place at Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground, with various footballing and community stars in attendance.
When asked about this award, Head of the Community Trust and Club Chaplain Phil Mason said: “The award means so much as it is a recognition of all our Club does in the Community.
“We have had a tough time but in spite of it all, we have kept our community work going.
“We have a wonderful new ownership that embrace community so we can only move forward positively to benefit the people of Bolton.
“My thanks must go to all the staff and volunteers in the Trust who work tirelessly to make such a difference in the community and encourage people to realise their own potential.”
