The Bolton Wanderers Lottery Department has provided the following update.
"The Lottery Team would like to take this opportunity to thank all our members for their support throughout 2020, it has been an extremely tough year for us all but hopefully 2021 will be the start of the second roaring twenties!
"2020 saw the lotteries suspended for many months after which we wrote to all our standing order members to ask if they would like a refund, an extra chance of winning with an additional membership for 20 weeks or finally if they would like to donate their overpayments to the Bolton Wanderers Development Association to help fund future projects at the Club.
"The response was fantastic with hundreds of you taking the extra temporary membership option which has proved to be a win/win option for both you and us.
"So far we have had 63 winners on Lifeline with their extra numbers, 6 of which have scooped the £2000 Jackpot!
"On the Goldline there have been 14 wins on extra numbers, 2 of which were £250!
"A great number of members of both lotteries chose to donate their overpayments to the BWDA, this totalled a magnificent:
£26,301.24
"That is truly outstanding! We really do have amazing people supporting our lotteries.
"We would like to thank all our Agents and members who continue to collect and pay via cash collections. Our agents have been superb adapting their collections for the safety of their members.
"HOWEVER, please can we remind all cash members of the importance of changing over to standing order at the earliest opportunity. Not only is this to ensure the safety of you and your family but also of our agents too.
"It really is the safest and most convenient way to pay and it helps to future proof the lotteries from further potential lock downs and stricter government guidelines.
