Wanderers will be away to Hartlepool United in the last 16 of the Papa John’s Trophy.
Ian Evatt’s men – who knocked out Fleetwood Town in the last round to extend their 100 per cent record in this season's competition – were handed a trip to the League Two side when the draw was made on Saturday afternoon.
Pools booked their place in the last 16 with a 3-0 win at Sheffield Wednesday after finishing second in their qualifying group.
The tie, which will be played in the week commencing January 3, will see Wanderers go to Hartlepool for the first time since a League Cup win at Victoria Park in August, 1998.
An exact date for the fixture and ticket details will follow in due course.
