George Thomason has been rewarded with a brand new 18-month contract at Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
The young midfielder penned a new deal earlier today after making a promising start to his professional career with the club. The deal will see him remain with Wanderers until at least the end of the 2021/22 season.
The 20 year-old burst onto the first team scene earlier this season and has made ten appearances, scoring his first professional goal during the draw at Carlisle United on Boxing Day.
Initially arriving at the University of Bolton Stadium on an 18-month deal from Longridge Town in 2019, the former Blackpool youth player spent a portion of this season on loan with Bamber Bridge.
Speaking about his new deal, Thomason said: “Wanderers gave me my first taste of professional football and I’m buzzing to sign this new deal.
”The manager and the management team have put their trust in me and I intend to repay that.”
Wanderers Manager Ian Evatt added: “George is a wonderful young lad and we are delighted to have agreed a new contract with him.
“He’s got lots of work to do but he’s a fantastic young player.
“He wants to be here for the right reasons and we’ll carry on working with him and developing him.”
