Wanderers captain Antoni Sarcevic will be out of action for between three and four weeks with a groin injury sustained in last weekend's defeat to Tranmere Rovers.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet League Two fixture against Leyton Orient, Wanderers boss Ian Evatt confirmed the news of the captain's impending absence following a scan earlier in the week.
Evatt said: "Sarce is out for three to four weeks with a groin injury. It's a blow for us because he's one of our marquee players, he's the captain and an important player for the team.
"His absence does offer someone else the opportunity to come in and make the most of their opportunity."
Evatt also confirmed that Declan John and Kieran Lee come back into contention for the weekend's game as well as potentially Shaun Miller who has been absent with injury since the end of November.
