Last Friday we caught up with our newest Lifeline £2,000 winner Helen Yeldon of Westhoughton.
Helen was delighted with the news she had just won the top prize and even more so when she realised that she had won on her late husband Brian’s numbers.
Helen told us of how she began supporting the Club and what made her join the Lifeline.
She said: “My husband was a fan for many years and a steward for the last couple of years. Sadly he passed away before we got promoted but he will be so proud to know that they achieved it."
Helen also spoke of how long she had been doing the lotteries: “Not long a couple of years or so. Brian had been a Lifeline member for many years, so has my brother. I picked up a leaflet at an event at what was then the Reebok and decided to support the club."
Finally, we asked Helen what she would be spending her winnings on.
She added: “I have decided to carry on the Lifeline theme and bought a leaf to go on the tree of life at Bolton Hospice. They looked after Brian so well during the last few weeks of his life and it seems fitting that some money should go to them.
"The remainder will go towards having my bathroom revamped. I might even get a BWFC towel to go in there as well!”
It was lovely to speak to Helen and learn that she had won the £2,000 prize on her late Husband’s Brian numbers.
Congratulations Helen.
