Dapo Afolayan has praised the ‘team chemistry’ of Bolton Wanderers after he helped his side beat Sky Bet League Two high-fliers Cambridge United at the University of Bolton Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The on-loan West Ham midfielder has been a key ingredient in Wanderers resurgence – a spell that has since them win eight of their last ten games – which has seen them rise to seventh spot in the table.
The midfielder caught the eye once again during the victory against United as goals from Eoin Doyle and Antoni Sarcevic rounded off a fantastic performance for Ian Evatt’s men.
And Afolayan, who is on loan from the Upton Park outfit for the rest of the season, is loving his time in the North West.
He said: “It's easy to play in a team like this when you've got so many good players around you.
"We all feed off each other and the team chemistry is great considering we haven't been able to train that much in the last month.
"We're getting better with each game and people can see that. I feel we're going to keep pushing on and get to where we want to be.
"The manager has been great with me. He lets me go out there and express myself. It's always good to have that freedom, knowing that we can go out there and do our stuff to help the team get the results and move up the league.
"There's some great boys and professionals in the group. The management and coaching staff have all been really good. It's been really good for me, helped me out massively and I'm learning a lot in every game.
"All I want to do is improve every week, play week-in week-out and I think we're going in the right direction."
