Ian Evatt’s men go in search of their seventh successive Sky Bet League Two win when they face Bradford City at the Utilita Energy Stadium on Saturday and the Wanderers boss believes that March will be a huge month for the club.
Saturday’s game in West Yorkshire pits the Whites against a Bantams side who themselves are on a hot winning streak, having won their last five games.
With matches against second-placed Cambridge next Tuesday and a Forest Green Rovers side who occupy third spot, March will be a crucial month for Evatt’s troops as they plot their way up the table.
He said: "We’ve got a big, big month coming up. This is a huge month for this football club in the here and now and for the future. We need to go out there and perform to the best levels we can.”
Despite a marked improvement in performances following some excellent recruitment in January, the Wanderers boss knows that his players will get stronger and better with each passing game.
"We’re just hungry for more. We want more. I do feel that there’s another gear there and another level to reach. This team, some of them have only been with us five, six, or seven weeks, they’re going to improve.
"They’re going to get used to what we want and how we do things. Long may that continue but we know that we have to keep raising our game.”
