Wanderers captain Antoni Sarcevic has been ruled out for 'several weeks' with a hamstring tear, Ian Evatt has confirmed at his pre-Walsall press conference.
Sarcevic was withdrawn midway through the first half of Wanderers' 1-0 victory at Port Vale last weekend.
On the injury news, Evatt said: "Antoni has a hamstring tear and will be out for several weeks.
"We don't know for how long he will be out yet exactly. We're hopeful he'll heal as quickly as possible, but it's not ideal.
"Antoni is the captain of this club, and he's a top player, a big player in this team, and we're going to miss him.
"Fortunately, because of our January recruitment, we have other players in that area who can come in and take his place and stake their claim. That's how it is all over the pitch at the moment."
