Bolton Wanderers supporter Rob Marsden will be taking part in an endurance fitness challenge to raise money for the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust and Bolton Wanderers Remembrance Group.
From 4am on Thursday 1 April, Rob will commence the ‘Goggins 4x4x48 Challenge’ which has been described as a ‘pressing test of resilience, endurance and willpower’.
The challenge, which tests physical and mental strength, will see Rob run four miles every four hours during a 48-hour period.
It was devised by ex-Navy Seal and now ultra-runner, motivational speaker and author, David Goggins.
Rob said: “Since being a part of the BWFCRG and in partnership with the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust, I have been seriously impressed with the dedication and kindness that these non-profit groups show and the massive difference they make to local charities and families in need.
“Whether in respect of the Remembrance Group, the Community Trust, the somewhat insane challenge itself or our friendship, any donations would mean an incredible lot to myself and those who the group supports.”
You can support Rob by posting on his Facebook page – www.facebook.com/rob.marsden.752 and donate to raise funds for the Bolton Wanderers Community Trust and BWFC Remembrance Group by clicking HERE
A lifelong Wanderers fan, Rob will be posting memories of his favourites players on his Facebook page throughout the challenge to keep himself motivated.
Good luck with the challenge Rob!
