Lloyd Isgrove has backed Bolton Wanderers to build on the success of their promotion when they get their Sky Bet League One campaign underway.
The winger, who is currently holding discussions with the club over a new deal at the University of Bolton Stadium, made a significant contribution to Wanderers’ promotion charge after signing for the club in September last year.
The former Swindon Town man netted Wanderers’ fourth goal against Crawley Town on the final day and also scored the only goal of the game during a crucial victory at Salford several weeks earlier.
And he’s believes Wanderers’ battling team-spirit will serve them well next term.
He said: “I’ve had a promotion from League One with Barnsley, there are other lads in there too who have done well at that level. But I think just the spirit we have in the group will give us a head start.
“You’ve got some big clubs in the division so of course you will need a bit of extra quality here and there but speaking to the lads, they fancy it. I think it’s such a good bond it will be an advantage, especially with a full pre-season together.”
