Bolton Wanderers is pleased to launch a brand new 2021/22 Official Club Membership scheme.
Free of charge and with a simple sign-up process, club membership will help Wanderers identify and communicate better with their fanbase and, in turn, maximise safety in the stadium on a match day.
Official Membership will become mandatory for all fans wishing to purchase home and away League and Cup match day tickets from – and including – the first-round FA Cup fixture versus Stockport County on Sunday 7th November.
Please note season ticket holders do not need to sign up to membership this season. However, all supporters who renew or purchase new season tickets for the upcoming 2022/23 and subsequent seasons will be auto-enrolled as Official Club Members.
Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer of Bolton Wanderers FC said: “In line with most other football clubs, we are moving towards a Club Membership scheme which we believe has many benefits.
“It will potentially help us have better contact with supporters and is also a great way for fans to become part of the official Wanderers’ family.
“We also want to make sure match day feels safe and welcoming for our fans who are there to embrace match day for all the right reasons.
“Following discussions with key stakeholders, we believe this is the most effective and sensible route to take.
“It’s a five-minute process for supporters to undertake either online, over the phone or in person at the Ticket Office. This will imminently become the only way fans can purchase a match day ticket therefore as a club, we encourage all fans to set aside a few minutes to become an Official Club Member.”
Official Membership will mark you as part of the Bolton Wanderers family via a membership number and an online account. This will store your most up to date information and ticket purchasing history.

Why do I need to become a Bolton Wanderers Official Club Member?

I’m a season ticket holder – do I need to become an Official Club Member?
No. 2021/22 season ticket holders do not need to register as a club member. However, all supporters who renew or purchase new season tickets for the upcoming 2022/23 and subsequent seasons will be auto-enrolled as Official Club Members.
How do I become an Official Member?
The simplest and easiest way to join is online via the club’s eticketing website.

- Add the number of required Memberships to your basket.
- Click ‘Proceed to Checkout’
- Supporters can then either log in to their existing ticketing account or click the ‘Register’ link if you are creating an account for the first time.
Please note that after becoming an Official Member, there is a 24hr wait before the account activates and supporters can purchase their tickets online. If you would like to buy tickets immediately after registering as a member, please call 01204 328 888 or visit the ticket office in person.
You can also become a member over the phone by calling 01204 328 888 or in person at the Ticket Office at the University of Bolton Stadium. The Ticket Office and Ticket Office phone lines are open Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm, Saturday match days from 9.00am to kick-off and Saturday non-match day from 9.00am to 1.00pm.
I need to create memberships for myself and family members – can I put them all against my client reference number or do I need separate customer accounts?
All supporters who are not season ticket holders will need to become Official Members in order to purchase League and Cup match day tickets for the remainder of the season (starting from the Bolton Wanderers versus Stockport County fixture on Sunday 7th November).
If you purchase match tickets on behalf of family and friends, each person in your group will need to become an Official Member and have an online account registered to their name. Via a ‘network’ in your account, you can then add each member of your group and assign an Official Membership to each one at the checkout stage of the registration process. Please note under 16s who are having their tickets purchased for them by an adult do not need to become Official Members.
How long does a Membership last for?
The membership is valid for one season and will expire once the final game of the 2021/22 season has been played.
