Launched at the beginning of February, the 2022/23 Early Bird season-ticket window was open for eight weeks and the campaign had one simple message for Wanderers’ fans – be part of it.
And Bolton Wanderers FC is thrilled to announce that an incredible 12,070 Wanderers have chosen to do just that – and are now season ticket holders for the 2022/23 campaign.
Manager Ian Evatt said: “This is a remarkable show of support from an incredible fan-base and I’d like to thank everyone who has bought a ticket for next season.
“The club has come so far on and off the pitch within the past couple of years and we now have to carry on with that momentum.
“That started with the work Sharon and the board have done in making the club stable again to get us into the position we are now in and the football has fully played its part because people are enjoying what they’re seeing.
“This is an exciting and attacking team, which supporters want to come and watch play.
“We’re delighted with the number of season ticket holders showing how much they’re supporting and backing us and we will be doing everything we can to repay that faith.”
In addition to an extraordinary show of support from existing season ticket holders ahead of the Early Bird deadline, there are now 2,700 brand-new season ticket holders who will be welcomed into the BWFC family from next season.
The club is also delighted that 3,160 of the 12, 070 tickets sold are for fans under 18 years of age.
Bolton Wanderers Chief Executive Officer, Neil Hart, said: “First and foremost, we extend our thanks to the fans for this overwhelming show of support and for choosing to join us on this journey.
“We all have the feeling that something exciting is happening at Bolton Wanderers and this outstanding response shows just what an exceptionally loyal and passionate fan base we have.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have 2,700 new season ticket holders joining us at the University of Bolton Stadium next season and to also have so many young supporters choosing to back the Wanderers is something we are very proud of. We look forward to welcoming them all as lifelong fans of the club.
“This forward planning for the future is a precedent we will continue to set at Bolton Wanderers. With over 12,000 fans already committed to next season, we can now look ahead to the summer and continue to build on the positive steps we have already taken to ensure our club continues to grow in strength and stability.
“We are now working behind the scenes to release the next phase of season ticket sales for the 2022/23 campaign. These will be released later in April and prices will be increasing.
“Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to the staff here at Bolton Wanderers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver this hugely successful campaign and to process such a phenomenal number of sales, via the ticket office, in such a short space of time.”
Bolton Wanderers would once again like to thank each and every supporter who has purchased a 2022/23 season ticket and we look forward to welcoming you all the University of Bolton Stadium next season.
Further information on when season tickets will go back on sale will be communicated on the club’s official website later this month.
