Aaron Morley’s stunning strike at Gillingham has been shortlisted for March’s Sky Bet League One goal of the month.
Morley’s first goal for Wanderers – superbly curled into the top corner with a first-time strike from just outside the penalty area at the end of a slick build-up – set the Whites on their way to a 3-0 win over the Gills.
The midfielder is one of three players in the running for the monthly prize, which will be decided by a fans’ vote after the goals were chosen by a judging panel made up of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet Sponsorship Manager Matt Goodwin and EFL Media & PR Officer Billie Marshall.
Morley’s goal is up against a Gavin Whyte strike for Oxford United against Burton Albion and a long-range effort from Plymouth Argyle’s Danny Mayor against Cheltenham Town.
Watch the goals and vote via the EFL’s official Twitter accounts HERE with voting closing on Monday, 11 April. The winners from the three EFL divisions will be announced next Friday.
