The opening of the Whites’ new Fan Zone proved a great success on a fantastic day for the club last Saturday.
With Ian Evatt’s men turning on the style in a 3-0 win against Wycombe it proved to be the perfect start to the home campaign on the pitch.
And off it, the supporters more than played their part with a superb attendance of almost 17,500.
Some 3,000 fans enjoyed the facilities and refreshments on offer in the Fan Zone before and after the game on its first day of operation.
Again we thank you for your custom and cooperation and hope you enjoyed the experience.
Plans are already in place to extend and upgrade the Fan Zone with a second bar and extra covered areas set to be introduced, with a gin and prosecco bar to be added in time for the home game against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, 20 March.
The Fan Zone will not be in operation for Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup tie against Salford City but will be back open from 5pm for Wanderers’ home League One fixture against Morecambe on Tuesday, 16 August.
Last Saturday’s game against Wycombe also saw a wider roll-out of the cashless operation and new car parking arrangements in place at the University of Bolton Stadium.
We are aware of some operational issues in the Lower Concourse car park which will be addressed immediately and well in advance of our next home fixture.
Meanwhile, supporters are reminded that seasonal passes for the Lower Concourse car park do include cup fixtures.
We hope that the new facilities and improvements to the look and feel of the stadium implemented over the summer helped make your return to the University of Bolton Stadium an enjoyable one and thank you for your patience, understanding and outstanding support.
