Conor Carty struck the winner as Josh Sheehan and Lloyd Isgrove both made a welcome return to action in the B team.
Sheehan and Isgrove both played for an hour of the Whites’ opening Central League fixture as they made their first competitive appearances since last November after recovering from injury.
Both looked in good touch, while George Thomason also played for 90 minutes at Fleetwood's Poolfoot Farm training ground as he maintains match fitness during a first-team ban.
And the midfielder helped as Wanderers made a winning start thanks to Carty’s 77th-minute strike.
The summer signing latched onto a through-ball from Max Conway to slot home his first goal for the Whites to get Matt Craddock’s men up and running.
