The B Team returns to action this afternoon (Tuesday) when they take on Rotherham in the Central League Cup.
Matt Craddock’s side faces the Millers’ Reserves behind closed doors at Rotherham’s Roundwood Sports Complex academy training ground (KO 1pm).
Wanderers will be looking for a second win in Group A of the competition to join Rotherham and group leaders Rochdale on six points.
The Whites lost their opening group game to Huddersfield Town B but then beat Lincoln City’s second string 2-1 thanks to goals from Connor Stanley and Matty Grivosti to keep their hopes of progressing alive.
With Stanley and Grivosti two of half-a-dozen members of the B squad currently out on loan to gain first-team experience in non-league football, Craddock may give opportunities to more of the younger players in the Academy set-up as the Bs play their first game since a 3-2 Central League Cup win at Huddersfield last month.
A note to supporters that the game is now being played behind closed doors.
