Birthday boy Xav Amaechi is good to go after Wanderers were able to rubber-stamp his loan stay with the Whites.
Wanderers have renewed the loan deal with German outfit SV Hamburg to keep Amaechi at the University of Bolton Stadium for the rest of the season.
And with international clearance now received, the winger – who is 21 today – will be available going forward for boss Ian Evatt.
“We’re really glad he’s still with us. He’s had a stop-start season and we just need to get him going with a clear run for the rest of the season,” said Evatt.
“The same could be said of a few of the players, so it will be good for him to get some regular games and show us what can do.
“We’ve seen flashes of it and it’s an opportunity for him now and he has to take it.”
Amaechi joined Wanderers last summer in a coup for the club.
Frustratingly, the former Arsenal youngster and England U20 international suffered a broken bone in his foot in pre-season to delay his Whites’ debut until November.
Amaechi then enjoyed an outstanding goal-scoring first start in a 2-2 draw with Cheltenham last month.
And with a total of eight appearances behind him in a Wanderers’ shirt, the wingman will be looking to take flight in the second half of the season after coming of age.
Wanderers are next in action on Tuesday, 11 January when they face Wycombe in a re-arranged home League One fixture. Ticket details are available HERE
