Wanderers will face Leeds United’s U21s as their final opponents in the group stage of the Papa John’s Trophy.
The Whites already knew they had been paired with Crewe Alexandra and Tranmere Rovers in Group B of the competition.
And the final phase of Thursday’s draw saw Leeds added to the mix with Ian Evatt’s men guaranteed a home tie against the Elland Road youngsters.
Wanderers will also play Crewe at home and travel to Tranmere, with the top two sides in the group advancing to the knock-out stages.
The first group games are scheduled to be played in the week commencing 29 August with Wanderers entertaining Crewe first up.
The Whites then go to Prenton Park to meet Tranmere in the week starting 19 September.
And Evatt’s side completes the group stage against Leeds at the University of Bolton Stadium in the week commencing 17 October.
Meanwhile, Wanderers will find out their opening opponents in the Carabao Cup at 2.30pm this afternoon (Thursday) with the Whites’ name on ball number 6 in the northern section of the first-round draw.
Round-one fixtures in the Carabao Cup will be played in the week commencing 8 August.
