Wanderers are backing the EFL in a new crowd behaviour campaign aimed at keeping football safe and fun to watch.
Both Wanderers and the EFL are clear that anti-social or criminal behaviour in any form will not be tolerated at any ground.
Wanderers have brought in measures of our own this season to clamp down on disorder and anti-social behaviour – including our ‘One Wanderers!’ campaign.
And, as a club, we are also firmly behind the EFL’s ‘For Football’s Sake’ campaign which has been launched in response to a notable rise in crowd behaviour incidents at matches this season.
The EFL believes a minority of fans are letting the side down with inappropriate and reckless crowd behaviour and the acts of a mindless few are demonstrating a lack of respect for the clubs they support.
They say the game will work with the relevant authorities and respective clubs to ensure those responsible for disorder are held to account for their actions and remind fans:
• Anti-social behaviour at football could lead to a criminal conviction
• Anti-social behaviour could see you banned from football
This is everyone’s game and we must keep it that way. Don’t let your side down and don’t spoil it for others… “For Football’s Sake”
