Following an absence of three years, Bolton Wanderers’ annual Service of Remembrance will return to the University of Bolton Stadium at 6.30pm on Tuesday 10th May.
The service will commence pitch side where a wreath will be laid and all the names of loved ones to be remembered from previous years will be displayed on the big screen. The service will then continue in the Lion of Vienna Suite.
During the service in the Suite, the names of loved ones that have been inscribed in the Book of Remembrance or engraved on a memorial stone during the past three years will also be read out.
Attendees will be invited to come forward and light candles in memory of their loved ones.
The theme of the service will be ‘the bonds that bind us together’ – a reflection on what the world has collectively experienced in recent times, those we have lost and a focus upon what is important to all of us within our community.
We hope all those who would like to are able to join us for this special and much missed occasion.
Entry is free and no tickets are required. Stewards will help direct attendees to enter the stadium via the North West Corner where the service will commence pitch side.
There will be light refreshments served following the service and the Books of Remembrance will be available for those attending to look up the names of loved ones.
