Wanderers’ forward Conor Carty has joined Gateshead on loan until 3 January.
The B Team striker, 20, has ended a month-long stay with Oldham Athletic to move to their National League rivals.
Carty, who made four appearances for the Latics during his time at Boundary Park, heads up to Tyneside for the chance of further competitive first-team experience.
Gateshead are currently bottom of the National League following their promotion last season under former Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson.
They face an important run of seven games – and an FA Trophy tie – before the turn of the year as they look to climb the table.
And former Wolves’ youngster Carty – who scored his first senior goal for Wanderers in a Papa Johns Trophy tie at Tranmere in September – is set to be involved for the first time when the ‘Heed entertain Southend United at the Gateshead International Stadium on Saturday.
