Max Conway is the latest B team player to temporarily move out for the opportunity of first-team football after securing a loan move to FA Cup hopefuls Buxton.
Conway, 19, has joined the Bucks until 3 January and is eligible to play in their televised FA Cup second-round tie at Ipswich Town on Sunday.
The National League North side – which won promotion as Northern Premier League champions last season – has reached round two of the Cup for the second year running.
Conway links up with Buxton, who are managed by ex-Chorley boss Jamie Vermiglio, ahead of their trip to Portman Road and will be available for nine games during his stay at Silverlands.
The left-back or wing-back – who signed his first professional contract with Wanderers in the summer after being on the bench for the final League One game of last season – will also be available to play in the Whites’ B team fixtures during his stint on loan if required.
However, with the B team facing just a couple of scheduled Central League Cup ties between now and the turn of the year, a number of the Whites young players are set to benefit from loan moves.
Striker Conor Carty is currently at National League side Gateshead – scoring on his debut for the Tynesiders in a win last weekend.
Attacking midfield man Connor Stanley is also a week into a loan spell at NPL top-flight side FC United of Manchester, while defender Adam Senior is on loan at National League side AFC Telford United and midfielder Arran Pettifer at Atherton Collieries of the NPL Premier Division.
