All of Wanderers’ upcoming fixtures played during the FIFA World Cup will be streamed LIVE on iFollow BWFC.
Following a voting process by EFL League One clubs during the summer, the usual streaming restrictions have been lifted for the duration of the World Cup – including the blackout of 3pm Saturday fixtures.
Supporters will be able to watch the following fixtures on iFollow BWFC, starting with the Wanderers’ sell-out trip to Fleetwood Town this Saturday:
- Fleetwood Town v Bolton Wanderers, Saturday 19th November (3pm KO)
- Bolton Wanderers v Bristol Rovers, Friday 2nd December (7.45pm KO)
- Shrewsbury Town v Bolton Wanderers, Saturday 10th December (3pm KO)
- Bolton Wanderers v Exeter City, Saturday 17th December (3pm KO)
Wanderers’ round of 32 tie against Barrow AFC in the Papa Johns Trophy on Tuesday 22nd November will also be available on iFollow BWFC (7.45pm KO).
Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer of Bolton Wanderers said: “We’re pleased Wanderers fans will be able to access all our upcoming fixtures on iFollow BWFC during the World Cup tournament window.
“It goes without saying that there is nothing quite like live football but, coupled with our record season ticket sales, this is a great opportunity for us to assess if changing the parameters of the streaming service is of interest to our supporters. I’m sure this will provide more valuable data-driven insight and continue the discussion between the EFL and all member clubs.
“For those unable to attend the upcoming fixtures, we urge you to support the club where possible by signing up to iFollow BWFC and cheering on Ian and the team – whether you’re based domestically or overseas. This opportunity now makes watching Wanderers even more accessible than ever.”
Wanderers’ first trip to be streamed on iFollow BWFC during the World Cup will be away to Fleetwood on Saturday 19th November. The Whites will be looking for a third away win of the season to challenge for a place back in League One’s top six.
The Whites’ full allocation of tickets for the game at the Highbury Stadium was snapped up within minutes of going on sale.
