Charlton Fixture: Family Day

Wanderers are looking forward to the latest ‘Family Day’ for Saturday's home game against Charlton Athletic, with tickets priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for under 18s and over 65s.

Newly sponsored by Peel L&P – a Greater Manchester based regeneration business and their homebuilding arm, Northstone – Family Day aims to make football as accessible and fairly priced as possible to the whole community.

During the 2021/22 season, Wanderers delivered two Family Days, attracting bumper crowds of 19,000 and 20,000 respectively.

The hope is that even more supporters will attend Saturday's game at the University of Bolton Stadium and get behind Ian Evatt’s men as they aim to build on their mid-week Papa Johns Trophy win and get some more League One points on the board.

Neil Hart, Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers said: “Family Days are a big part of what we’re all about at Bolton Wanderers and I’d like to extend my thanks to Peel L&P and Northstone for choosing to support this important initiative that will roll on to more games, later in the season.

“We know this club plays a huge role in our community and we want this stadium to be an accessible place, where everyone feels welcome.

“As ever, we remain committed to affordable ticket pricing and we hope our Family Day offers another opportunity for supporters to enjoy a great day of football with their families and friends.”

The partnership between Peel L&P and Bolton Wanderers signifies Peel L&P’s commitment to working with local communities and partners in Bolton to improve health and prosperity in the local area through sustainable development – with ambitious plans for major events, healthy living and new green spaces for people to enjoy.

Peel L&P’s multi-awarding winning homebuilding business, Northstone, is creating beautifully designed, energy efficient homes across their community focused neighbourhoods in Bolton, and Peel L&P are also hosting their ‘Hulton Park Happenings’ event series, which celebrates culture, heritage, wellbeing and fun for all at Hulton Park in Bolton.

Phil Wilson, Executive Director at Peel L&P and Chief Executive of Northstone said: “Being an active and proud member of the Bolton community is very important to us.

“We chose Bolton as the location to create our first Northstone neighbourhood, Silkash, which has gone on to win multiple awards and is home to a thriving and flourishing community. We have recently launched our Hulton Park Happenings events programme which is filled with a vibrant mix of activities and celebrates culture, wellbeing and Bolton’s local history. We are committed to Bolton and unlocking opportunities to help our communities here.

“Bolton Wanderers has a dedicated, passionate and loyal community of fans and we are looking forward to working in partnership with the football club to deliver even more accessible games for fans old and new to enjoy.”
