The B Team returns to Central League action this afternoon (Wednesday) when they face Wrexham’s Reserves at Lostock (KO 2pm).
Wanderers have won one and lost one of their opening two games in the league season and face a Wrexham side playing their first fixture in the competition this term.
Matt Craddock’s squad is likely to be similar to the one that lost 2-1 to Huddersfield Town’s B side in their opening Central League Cup campaign a week ago when striker Gez Sithole scored his first goal in a Wanderers’ shirt.
First team boss Ian Evatt is aiming returning first team players Josh Sheehan and Eoin Toal – and summer loan signing Owen Beck – at next Tuesday night’s Papa Johns Trophy tie at Tranmere to top up their match fitness.
