Connor Stanley scored twice direct from corners to help the B team secure their second Central League win of the season.
Remarkably, Stanley produced carbon copy efforts to open his goalscoring account for the Whites, who wrapped up victory with a Nelson Khumbeni strike in the second half.
Wrexham’s side was not short on first-team experience as the National League outfit played their first game of the season.
But the Robins found themselves behind when summer signing Stanley curled in his first effort after 20 minutes.
A headed own-goal from Whites’ skipper Adam Senior then levelled the scores.
But Wanderers kept their composure and Stanley repeated the trick when the attacking midfield man found the back of the net from the same spot less than 10 minutes later.
Whites’ goalkeeper Luke Hutchinson continued his impressive start to the season with a couple of vital saves before the break as Wanderers looked to maintain their lead at half time.
And then after both sides had opportunities in front of goal, Matt Craddock’s men added to their lead when Khumbeni made it 3-1.
A superb run and perfect pull-back from substitute Linford Sackey teed up Khumbeni and the midfielder made no mistake as he slotted home.
Hutchinson still had to make a couple of saves to safeguard the two-goal lead but Wanderers had done enough to take maximum points and go top of the table.
