B Team striker Conor Carty has joined St Patrick’s Athletic on loan in time to start their League of Ireland season.
Carty heads home to Ireland to link up with the Dublin-based club where he will become a temporary team-mate of former Whites’ forward Eoin Doyle, who top scored for St Pats last season.
Carty’s move will allow the 20-year-old – who scored his first goal for Wanderers in a Papa Johns Trophy tie in September – to gain further competitive first-team football after loan spells at National League side Oldham Athletic and Gateshead earlier this season.
St Patrick’s finished fourth in the League of Ireland Premier Division in 2022 to qualify for the Europa Conference League.
The nine-time champions kick off their new season on Friday, 17 February with a home game against Derry City.
Carty - a Republic of Ireland youth international - completed his move to Richmond Park ahead of St Pat's pre-season friendly against Sligo Rovers this evening (Saturday).
