George Thomason stepped up his comeback with valuable game time in the B Team as he prepares for a first-team return.
Thomason played for 65 minutes of the Whites’ 2-0 Central League loss to Huddersfield Town B.
The midfielder – out of competitive action since suffering a knee injury at the start of December – has been back as far as the bench for Ian Evatt’s men when required in recent games.
And with some active playing time now under his belt, Thomason will be ready to compete for a return to duty as Wanderers prepare for Saturday’s trip to Morecambe.
Conor Falls and Kyle Hudlin got the goals at the end of each half for the Terriers as they took the points at Lostock.
Wanderers B: Litherland, Toure, Trialist, Tutte (Kamara), Sackey, Khumbeni, Thomason (Burgess), Frimpong, Sharples, Loureiro (Shakespear), Lockett (Jones).
