Wanderers can confirm the departure of striker Amadou Bakayoko to fellow League One side Forest Green Rovers.
Bakayoko moves to the New Lawn for an undisclosed fee to end an 18-month stay with the Whites.
The 27-year-old Sierra Leone international made a total of 64 appearance for Wanderers – including 41 from the bench – and scored 17 times, with four of his goals coming this season.
The former Coventry City and Walsall forward heads back down the country after a final appearance from the bench for the Whites in their Papa Johns Trophy quarter-final win over Portsmouth on Tuesday night.
His departure, six months before the end of his existing contract, follows Wanderers’ capture of striker Dan Nlundulu on loan from Southampton for the remainder of the season and attacking wide player Randell Williams on a permanent deal from Hull City.
Manager Ian Evatt said: “Baka did really well for us last season and scored some important goals to help us finish ninth in our first year back in League One with such a strong finish.
“He has also played his part this season but with Dan arriving to strengthen the striking department this was a good opportunity for Baka to secure his future at Forest Green.
“We thank him for everything he’s done for us and wish him well in his future career.”
