Young Wanderers’ goalkeeper Luke Hutchinson has joined Bamber Bridge on a month’s loan.
The 20-year-old links up with B Team team-mate Matthew Tweedley at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium ahead of Brigg’s Northern Premier League top-flight fixture at Liversedge on Saturday.
Hutchinson has had previous first-team experience on loan at Atherton Collieries and will now get the chance to add to his competitive appearances with Bamber Bridge.
The keeper has impressed for the Whites’ B team so far this season and has spent recent games in the senior squad while Joel Dixon was out injured, being named on the bench for Wanderers’ 1-1 draw at Lincoln City at the end of last month.
Hutchinson, who still be available for B Team games during his initial month’s stay at Brigg, is the latest of Wanderers’ young players to benefit from temporary moves to non-league clubs to increase their game-time.
