Wanderers will host Premier League opposition in their build-up to the new campaign.
The Whites have secured an attractive home fixture against Everton as part of their pre-season schedule.
Sean Dyche’s Toffees, who secured their top-flight status on the final day of last season, will visit the Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday, 25 July (KO 7.45pm).
Dyche will bring his first-team squad to face Wanderers, who then complete their preparations with another high-quality home friendly on Saturday, 29 July (KO 3pm).
The opposition for that game will be announced shortly, with the Whites keen to let fans know as early as possible dates for the back-to-back home fixtures.
Ticket prices and on-sale dates for the two games will be confirmed in due course.
The game against north-west neighbours Everton and a second, also against higher-ranked opposition, will complete a varied and competitive build-up for Ian Evatt’s men ahead of Wanderers’ League One opener over the weekend of 4-6 August.
Fixtures for the new EFL season will be released on Thursday, 22 June.
