The B Team kicks off its pre-season programme tonight (Tuesday) with a trip to Runcorn Linnets.
The Whites’ youngsters face the Northern Premier Division North-West Division side at their Apex Taxis Stadium in a 7.30pm kick-off.
Andy Taylor’s squad is gearing up for another season in the Central League and range of friendly fixtures in a third year for the development side.
The Whites won’t be at full strength at Runcorn with several members of the B squad currently involved at first-team level and likely to be on duty with the senior side at Chorley.
But with opportunities for members of the Youth Team to step up it will be a valuable work-out for the Whites against a Runcorn side managed by former Tranmere, Huddersfield Town, MK Dons and Port Vale defender Antony Kay.
The 41-year-old took charge earlier this summer after helping Runcorn as a player to second place in their division before a play-off semi-final defeat last season.
Admission to tonight’s game is £5 adults, £3 concessions and £1 for 18s and under.
